CLARK Flooring Solutions, a Pittsburgh, Pa.-based distributor, announced that they have entered into a merger and acquisition agreement with L. Fishman and Son, Inc., a company headquartered in Baltimore, Md. The closing of this agreement is planned to occur in early Nov. 2008. Both firms are highly regarded sundry supply distributors to the flooring trade.

“I am very excited about this acquisition by Fishman and it is a perfect fit with our strategic growth plans as the Solution Provider distributor to the professional floor covering trade,” said D Clark, President of CLARK Flooring Solutions.

“We are delighted to expand regionally as well as being able to offer more choices to our customers,” said Bob Wagner, President of L Fishman and Son.  “We are excited about the new opportunities that the combined strengths of two companies will create. We believe that there will be a strong future shared by Fishman and CLARK for our customers.”

The CLARK – Fishman Flooring Solutions division of L. Fishman and Son will continue to be the “Solutions Provider” distributor, and will remain business as usual from a position of strength and reliability, according to Wagner.
