The International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association (CFI) will hold its next Master II Certification, the installation industry’s highest achievement, October 23-25, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The event will be hosted by Carpet Cushions and Supplies, 1709 Production Road Fort Wayne, IN 46819. Space is limited, so register as soon as possible.

Schedule:

Thursday 9:30am –Written Test if not completed

Thursday 12:45pm –Commercial tests and diagram

Friday 8:00am – 7:00pm Skills Testing

Saturday 8:00am – 8:30pm – Completion of Skills Testing

Written test fee: $100 - CFI Master-II Resource Manual is sent upon receipt of fee

The CFI Master-II Resource Manual does not contain all the information that is required to successfully pass the skills or written test. It is expected that to reach this level, the applicant will be exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled as a carpet flooring professional.

Balance of $500, testing fee and all paperwork is due prior to October 3, 2008.

Requirements:

• Registration, successful completion of written test and payment of all fees

• Submit the 4-page Master-II application that qualifies installer

• Successful completion of the skills and oral test at the site

• TWO letters of recommendation from industry associates

• No assistance is available during testing

Arranged lodging with airport shuttle is the responsibility of attendee.

Meals provided: Thursday dinner, Friday and Saturday lunch and breakfast at hotel.

A rental car is not necessary

Tools to bring: Hand tools, seaming iron of choice, hand sewing supplies, tools for installing wall base and stair treads, including dividers. Tools must be in checked baggage on airplane.
