Bona US,
the North American subsidiary of Bona AB
in Sweden,
recently held the grand opening of the new Bona
Northeast Regional
Training Center
in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
More than
60 people attended the grand opening event at the 2,500-square-foot facility,
including five of Bona’s Northeast distributors representing Massachusetts,
Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Connecticut. Bona gave away 20 prizes to the
attendees, including three Bona Back Vacs to the following contractors: C &
R Flooring, Groom Hardwood Flooring and Dan’s Floor Service.
“The new Bona
Training Center
provides the opportunity for contractors and distributors in the Northeast to
have a more accessible location to learn about the hardwood flooring industry
and Bona products. We are very excited to be able to invest in this facility to
aid in more education to our business partners and customers, even during such
a rough time in the market,” said Chad Nordhagen, director of marketing and
product management. “Devoting our efforts to constantly expanding our education
is extremely important in our industry. It builds trust with our customers and
creates improved results for the end user.”
The new,
unique center features 950 square feet of continuous wood flooring consisting
of nine different hardwood species, primarily donated by Green River Lumber of
Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Schools and seminars held at the new facility
will provide comprehensive class work and hands-on training in sanding and
floor preparation, staining, sealing and finishing, troubleshooting problem
floors, government and industry regulations, sales and customer relations and the
use of Bona’s quality finishing systems and cleaning products.
