E.J. Welch Company recently held a holiday opening event to celebrate its new flooring showroom.  Guests enjoyed evening cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while previewing the 4,800-square-foot showroom, which is located just two blocks south of the famed Chicago Merchandise Mart.     

   Jason Berry, Interior Designer, Creative Design of Des Plaines, IL had this to say about the showroom: “I feel the space delivers a great visual experience of product and application as well as serves designers such as myself with a great resource to bring potential clients.  I will definitely utilize this showroom.”  

  With more than 1,600 architects in Chicago’s downtown loop alone, the showroom is destined to become the design professional’s resource for many of the world’s finest flooring solutions.  Design ideas, application and technical assistance, samples and personnel are all on-hand to capably and effectively service the downtown and Chicago metro area design trade.    

   The showroom has work areas for the design professional, an available conference room and complimentary espresso bar.  Anna Springer, the Company’s Showroom Manager said, “The intent was to make the space inviting, comfortable and relaxed; a place where designers want to bring their clients for flooring selections with as much—or as little—assistance as the client or situation requires.”

  In addition to experiencing the full range flooring solutions of LG Floors, Altro, Johnsonite, Tarkett and Azrock; the E.J. Welch Company showroom will also offer scheduled workshops and programs, including CEU courses.  The 2009 events schedule will be available mid-January, 2009 on-line at www.ejwelch.com.  Showroom hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday thru Friday and by appointment.  Showroom address is 162 North Franklin, just north of West Randolph.
