Luca A. Zerbini has been named CEO of Florida Tile after having worked with the company for less than 2 years. He has held executive positions directly tied to the business development and supply chain management for the company. Previously he was a case team leader at top management consulting firm Bain & Co., and has also managed the supply chain for Hewlett-Packard's European Marketing and Distribution Center.

His experience includes corporate/business unit strategy, marketing strategy, operational performance improvement, organizational design and alliance/ partnership management. According to Florida Tile, his emphasis has been on improving the strategic alignment, marketing and organizational effectiveness of corporations, especially in the case of partnerships or post-merger integrations. (The Panaria Group acquired Florida Tile two years ago.) He also speaks fluent English, French, Italian and Spanish.

In a related announcement, Florida Tile has announced it has formed an Executive Committee that will work directly with Zerbini to "drive strategy and enable the organization to execute its plans swiftly and effectively," the company said.

Members of the committee include: Massimo Barbari, exec vp sales and marketing; Bernie Schwartz, exec VP manufacturing; Luca Setti, who has been promoted to senior evp branch sales & organization, but will stay on as CFO until March 15; and Andrea Zanni, who has been named CFO effective March 15.
