The Long Island Floor Covering Association raised $2,000 during a recent gala celebrating the group's 50th anniversary. During the event, LIFCA also honored 34 dealers, contractors and cleaning companies that have been in business for at least half a century. Almost 200 people were on hand to celebrate. The $2,000 raised was donated to the Floor Covering Industry Foundation, a group aimed at helping members of the industry who are facing extreme hardship.
