Mike Zoellner, vp marketing services for Mohawk Industries,
has been appointed Chair of the Market Issues Committee for the Carpet and Rug
Institute (CRI). Zoellner has been a member of the committee for the last five
years, and has spent the last two as its Vice-Chairman.
The CRI is
the carpet industry’s member driven organization aiming to offer science-based
information and insight into how carpet can create a better environment.
According to Werner Braun, president, CRI, “Mike has been a valuable asset to
our Market Issues Committee for the last several years, and we’re excited about
the leadership and experience he brings to the committee as its new chair ...
We look forward to what Mike brings to the table as we continue to move our
industry forward in these trying economic times and knowing what an important
role our marketing committee plays.”
Zoellner
said he was looking forward to working with Patricia Flavin on the committee.
Flavin, sr. vp marketing for Beaulieu, was recently elected Vice-Chair. “I
believe it’s the first time two residential marketing people have led this
group and I see a great opportunity to leverage the messaging and assets of the
CRI to the largest segment of the carpet industry while continuing the targeted
research and outreach that the CRI is known for,” he said.
Zoellner
has more than 25 years of experience in the flooring industry. In his current
role with Mohawk he oversees a spectrum of marketing, retailer training and business
development functions.
Zoellner
will serve as Chairman for two years.
