Atlas Carpet Mills' Dance Partner Collection

Masland Contract, Atlas Carpet Mills and Lees were the top winners in the ninth Antron Carpet Fiber Product Innovation Awards, held recently at NeoCon in Chicago. Masland Contract’s Floorplan Series and Atlas Carpet Mills’ Dance Partner Collection both won the gold award in the broadloom category. Lees was given the gold award in the modular category for its Sixth Sense Collection.

Jurors recognized Masland Contract’s Floorplan Series for its "innovative technology, fresh design aesthetic and versatility," according to Antron. “The interpretation of natural materials into the pattern is very successful and the patterns coordinate extremely well together,” said juror Marissa Hernandez-Yu of Page Southerland Page.

Atlas Carpet Mills’ Dance Partner Collection was recognized for its "playful patterns and colorways," Antron added. According to Lori Kolthof of FRCH Worldwide, the collection is “wonderfully colored; the visual of pattern over pattern makes the use of these carpets a match for every market.”

Commenting on Lees' award-winning Sixth Sense Collection, Kyle Barnes of Walt Disney Imagineering said, “The collection features an outstanding selection of diverse patterns and exceeds what one might expect from a modular product.” Additionally, Lees received a silver award in the modular category for its En Vogue Collection.

Antron Carpet Fiber Product Innovation merit awards went to: whitespace for the style Rain, in the broadloom category; and Atlas Carpet Mills for its Atelier Collection, in the modular category.

“This year’s winners pushed the design envelop with innovative carpet styling technologies and patterning,” said Bobby Berrier, vice president of commercial interiors, Invista. “The styles demonstrate the ability of Antron® carpet fiber to enable innovation of textural effects and diversity of design.”
