Shaw Industries Group has become the exclusive floor covering sponsor of Masco Home Services' Environments For Living program, a leading, national turn-key program designed to assist builders in constructing and marketing homes that offer energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality and durability benefits. As part of the program, Shaw will feature carpets produced with the company’s green Anso nylon, which meets the Environments For Living's Certified Green program.

"We are committed to continued leadership in corporate sustainability in the flooring industry," said Rick Ramirez, Shaw's vp sustainability and environmental affairs. "We are proud to be part of the Environments For Living program."

"Masco Home Services looks for sponsors such as Shaw that are leaders in their respective area and product category," added Rick Davenport, vp building science, for Masco Home Services. "In Shaw, we saw a company much like Masco Home Services that is committed to the environment and to sustainability in all aspects of its operation. Shaw is a company we are honored to have associated with the Environments For Living program."

The Environments For Living program was launched in 2001 and to date, more than 150,000 homes have been built to Environments For Living standards. The Environments For Living Certified Green program, also introduced in 2001, includes additional requirements in areas such as indoor water efficiency and appliance efficiency.
