The National Wood Flooring Association has launched its Accepted Product Seal Program to help manufacturer members earn recognition with consumers for products meeting industry performance standards.

The NWFA Accepted Product Seal is designed to help consumers identify wood flooring products that meet established standards for performance within the industry. Standards are determined for six unique product categories, each with its own testing requirements and performance criteria. The categories are abrasives, adhesives, engineered wood flooring, fasteners, finishes/stains/sealers, and underlayment.

All evaluations are conducted by third-party testing facilities, with specific ASTM/ANSI testing requirements, according to the NWFA. Participation in the program is voluntarily.
