This issue of Floor Covering Installer marks the first time we have published a December issue, as we expanded our frequency to ten issues last year. We have produced this special December issue with you, our readers, in mind. In addition to our usual installation articles and industry news, we are showcasing 20 of the leading flooring installation products in this issue’s Spotlight Showcase section, which starts on page 27. Each of these manufacturers has been producing products that you use on a day-in-day-out basis for most of your careers, but what we are trying to highlight here is some of the new products they have coming out within the next year. We let the manufacturers themselves tell you their stories in an effort to help you in your day-to-day installation business. We think you will find these stories both educational and informative.

We would also like to thank the manufacturers for supporting us, the industry and the installers themselves throughout the years.

There are also several very informative how-to articles in this issue, including one on heat welding linoleum floors that I think you will find very useful.

On another note, due to popular demand, we will be increasing Floor Covering Installer’s frequency to 11 times in 2008. Our January/February issue will be our only combined issue—after that issue we will be publishing every month. We will be adding several theme issues to our mix in 2008, including issues devoted to adhesives and environmentally friendly and health-friendly products. If you ever have any ideas or suggestions on what else we might be able to do to assist you in our industry, please let me know.
