APAC has hired floor covering sundries / adhesives veteran Keith Hodson as Western States technical sales manager. He will be responsible for growing APAC’s line of floor covering adhesives, specialty coatings and Premier brand carpet seaming tapes in the western U.S. and Canada. Hodson is CFI trained and an IICRC certified inspector.

Paul Murfin has named vp of sales, Armstrong Flooring Products – Americas. Murfin will be responsible for all independent channel residential and commercial sales in North America. He comes to the company from Beaulieu of America, where he was most recently a division vp. Murfin has also been president of Misco Shawnee Inc., one of the largest floor covering distributors in the United States, with locations in nine Midwestern states.



Lenox has promoted Rich Wuerthele to president of sales. Wuerthele joined Lenox in 2002 as vp of sales after the acquisition of the company by Newell Rubbermaid. In his new position, he will be responsible for expanding sales globabbly and supporting strategic sales initiatives throughout Newell Rubbermaid’s North American Tool Group.

Smith Flooring sales manager, James “Mack” Pearson, has retired after 42 years with the company. Starting out as a lumber buyer for the company in 1963, Pearson has spent the past 18 years as Smith’s sales manager. He is succeeded by Kevin Connor, who has worked closely with Pearson and is a 20-year company veteran. He has worked in the log yard, the treating plant and sawmill, as well as the flooring plant.
