Pergo North America has promoted Mike Nielsen to the position of vice president –commercial sales.  Formerly director of specialty sales for the leading manufacturer and marketer of laminate flooring, Nielsen now will lead the brand’s newly formed Commercial Group, taking responsibility for marketing and merchandising activities.

The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA), the largest tile contractors association in the world, has appointed Jim Olson as the new assistant executive director. In his new role, Jim will be responsible for growing the association’s membership and training & education programs.

Jim brings nearly three decades of sales and management experience working within the tile distribution sector.  He plans to use this experience to develop key programs in all major markets within the 12 NTCA-designated geographic regions, and will work with NTCA regional directors, sectional directors, board and executive officers, and members to ensure the association’s continued growth and development.  

Kurt Topp, an industry veteran with more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in commercial carpet, has been named vice president of commercial carpet business at Mannington Commercial. Topp comes to Mannington Commercial from The Mohawk Group, where he was most recently the Senior Vice President of Sales.

NAC Products has named Ken DeMarco as new sales representative for the North Eastern United States. Ken will manage Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, New York and New Jersey, according to the company. Ken brings more than 27 years of experience in the tile and stone business along with 26 years experience with ceramic tile setting material manufacturers.
