Capri Cork has hired Don Jewell as technical service manager, effective Jan.1. Jewell comes to Capri Cork with 16 years of industry experience, most recently as technical representative for Loba-Wakol, a manufacturer of finishes and adhesives. Prior to Loba-Wakol, he had his own wood floor contracting company. As an experienced installer and wood flooring finisher, Jewell will offer technical support for floor preparation, installation and finishing of all Capri products.

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has appointed Ronald G. Burg, formerly vice president at CTLGroup, as executive vice president of ACI. Current ACI executive vice president William R. Tolley will retire from ACI at the end of June, after 35 years of service to the Institute.  Burg will join the 100-member ACI staff at its Farmington Hills, Mich. headquarters on July 6.

Scott Harter has been promoted to vice president of sales & marketing for Protecto Wrap, and will direct the company’s Flooring Division.  Harter has been in the tile industry since 1987 and continues to be an active member of numerous flooring and ceramic tile associations.  Harter has worked for Protecto Wrap since 1997, and was largely responsible for the growth of the Flooring Division.
