Side Shims are used in conjunction with the Original 32" x 8" Carpet Shims to solve the height difference between carpet and ceramic or hardwood floors. Made of the same high quality material as Carpet Shims, they are water resistant and can be scored with a carpet knife and snapped to fit any area.

They measure 8" x 6" wide, and have a compound taper that finishes the transition, eliminating any need for floating the ends. Side Shims should be installed at both ends of the Carpet Shim.
