MagBacker LLC has launched its MagBacker high-performance backer board and floor underlayment intended for use under tile, stone, wood, carpet, laminate and vinyl floor coverings. Produced from a proprietary blend of magnesium and cellulose fiber which is reinforced with mesh, MagBacker is 20% stronger and 25% lighter than premium cement panels, and can earn points for LEED accredited projects, the company says.
