They also manufacture the Side Shim which measures 8” x 6” wide for the 1/2” and 3/8” Carpet Shim. The Side Shims have a compound taper that finishes the transition, eliminating any need for floating the ends. Side Shims should be installed at both ends of the Carpet Shim.
