Coverings announced the winners of its 2017 Best Booth Awards. The program recognizes booths based on design, creativity, display of product, and overall presentation. From the more than 1,110 exhibitors on the show floor, the panel of judges selected seven winners.
“There are so many truly astounding booth displays, which really highlights the passion in the industry for tile and stone as stylish design statements,” said Jennifer Hoff, president of Taffy Event Strategies, the producers of Coverings. “We congratulate this year’s winners, who all enhanced the wow factor of the show floor.”
We’re reporting from The International Surface Event this week.
With a recent 350,000 square-foot expansion of the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, the annual floor covering, stone and tile industry event known simply as TISE (The International Surface Event) showcased the industry’s newest products under one roof—and this year, all on one floor.
While attendance numbers were not available at press time, most showgoers we interviewed said this year’s event was highly attended and showed the economy and the industry bouncing back. Major manufacturers came back to Surfaces, and with them the lavish after-parties, mammoth booths and pageantry that used to mark the show were also returning.
Following is a gallery of images we captured at the show. For more information on TISE 2016, visit www.tisewest.com.
The International Surface Event (TISE) East was held last November at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The East Coast regional version of Surfaces, TileExpo and StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas, TISE East drew about 100 exhibitors, along with presenters covering educational topics geared toward distributors, fabricators, installers/contractors, retailers, care/maintenance/restoration professionals and members of the A&D community.
