USG’s Fiberock Brand Underlayment Aqua-Tough is a new moisture-resistant residential flooring underlayment made from 100 percent recycled gypsum and cellulose. The panels contain no resins, adhesives, solvents or dyes that can stain floor-covering materials, the company says.

Aqua-Tough can be used in both wet and dry areas of the home and, according to USG, is ideal for application under vinyl, ceramic tile, hardwood flooring, laminate flooring and carpeting. The underlayment is protected by a 15-year warranty, which provides coverage against buckling, warping, delamination, cracking and splitting during fastening.
