ADDISON -- Sept. 25, 2001 -- In the wake of the recent tragedies in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania, Armstrong Wood Products (AWP) has organized a fundraising campaign to benefit the Twin Tower Relief Fund. The campaign, known as "Armstrong Wood Products in Action," will combine cash donations from the company, its employees, distributors and retailers.

"There are no real words to describe how stunned and saddened we are by the losses faced by our nation and by everyone who lost friends and family in the attacks," said Frank Riddick, president and CEO of AWP. "We can only hope that this brings comfort to those most deeply affected. By including our colleagues at every level of our business, we are doing our best to demonstrate the unity of our nation and our heartfelt sympathy for everyone involved."

AWP will donate $100,000 to the fund, and ask its employees, retailers and distributors to contribute as they can. Retailers will have two options for donating to "Armstrong Wood Products in Action." Donations can be made directly to the fund, or retailers can agree to donate their AWP program rebates generated in October and November.
