WOODLAND HILLS, CA - FCI Senior Editor Howard Olansky will address the flooring industry at two upcoming events. First is the Hawaii Flooring Association's annual convention, which will be held Sept. 12-15 at the Makaha Resort & Golf Club on Oahu. Olansky will be the opening speaker for the event, and will be discussing "Current Industry Trends." This will be an in-depth presentation of the opportunities offered by current trends in each of the product areas, and will include viewpoints of retailers, contractors and distributors.

In October, Olansky will be moderating a panel discussion on "Moisture in Concrete" for a seminar sponsored by the Greater New York Floor Coverers Industry Promotional Fund. The event will be held at the Helmsley Hotel on Oct. 10. Joining Olansky for the discussion will be installation/technical experts Chris Capobianco of Toli and Larry Press of Para-Chem, as well as a yet-to-be-named architectural expert. The seminar will give retailers, contractors and installers an in-depth look at moisture emission, testing methods, corrective action, and responsibilities.
