IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 30, 2001-- HomeBase, Inc. announced the grand opening of an additional three new House2Home home decorating superstores in Central California over the July 28th weekend, adding to stores recently opened in Visalia, Clovis and Fresno.

The openings mark the beginning of the grand openings for the final phase of the multi-phase rollout of the company's new House2Home retail concept, which involves the conversion of a total of 42 HomeBase-branded home improvement warehouses. Including the stores that grand opened this weekend, there are now 39 House2Home stores open in California, Arizona and Nevada. The conversion process is expected to be completed next weekend with the grand opening of the final three stores in the Sacramento and Santa Rosa, Calif. markets. Those final three stores soft opened this past weekend in preparation for their grand opening on August 4th.
