Surfaces: To Go or Not To Go?
Surfaces: To go or not to go?As a floor covering installer, should you think about attending the annual Surfaces Trade Show & Convention in Las Vegas, NV?
I just returned from Surfaces 2000, and I think this show is well worth your time. Nearly all the floor covering installation manufacturers attend each year. And they are not only showing new products, but many of them put on continuous product demonstrations of their latest offerings, all of which are designed to help the installer perform a better, faster, and easier installation.
This year, I saw many new products that I feel are certain to help installers accomplish their objectives. New product offerings were available for installation of all different types of floor covering, from carpet to vinyl to wood, and everything in between.
There were also many manufacturers holding demonstrations for substrate preparation products.
There were products for the design and custom manufacturing of rugs, insets, borders, wall base, etc. I also saw many demonstrations featuring products designed for the removal of floor covering materials.
Just about anything you could want can be found at Surfaces. I certainly recommend that you attend Surfaces 2001. If you missed this year’s show, be sure to go straight to your nearest FIANA distributors, and you’ll be able to get a first-hand look at most of the new products on the market. I’m sure they will be happy to demonstrate the products for you.
