Laticrete International was one of the companies that demonstrated how to tackle a wide range of projects on the installation stage. Here, company representatives demonstrate the use of SpectraLOCK epoxy grout.

This year's installation stage was part of the North American pavilion. The Tile Council of North America (TCNA) and the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) sponsored and coordinated the stage - which featured a larger area and more seating this year.

Justin Woelfel, Jr., director of training and education for NTCA, presented several live demos each day including proper installation of a steam shower unit.

"The stage was incredibly busy throughout the duration of the show," said Bart Bettiga, NTCA executive director. "NTCA also sponsored a $10,000 Tool Giveaway, creating even more hustle and bustle around the stage area."

Installation material companies also demonstrated products and techniques to make tile installations more successful, beautiful or efficient. Topics included waterproofing, installing a heated floor with self-leveling underlayment, glass tile installation, lightweight and non-sag mortars, multipurpose mortars, grouts, use of pre-formed underlayment components and crack isolation membranes. Participating companies included Ardex Engineered Cements, Bonsal American, C-Cure, Custom Building Products, Laticrete International, SGM, Inc., Mer-Krete, Texas Cement and TEC Brand Specialty Construction Products.
