Whether a retailer, architect, designer, builder, distributor or installer, Surfaces 2007 will offer plans for these types of industrialists to grow in their businesses. A conference program held Feb. 6-9 in Las Vegas will entail 42 courses in five key areas for designers, architects and other like-individuals. In-depth information and proven strategies, including business management, design and installation, will be given, according to Surfaces.
Highlighted this year is the Installation Showcase, featuring a series of up-close live demonstrations where experts will show the latest techniques for installing a variety of floor covering products. These include carpet, tile, stone, resilient, hardwood, laminate, mixed media and more. Free to all Surface attendees, the Installation Showcase is sponsored by National Floor Trends (NFT) magazine, Floor Covering Installer (FCI) magazine, World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) and the Certified Floor Covering Installer’s Association (CFI).\
From laminate repairs to natural stone installation demonstrations, the showcase will have a full Wed. thru Fri. schedule. Of special note is Jim Walker, an industry expert demonstrating proper cushion and seam constructions, and the techniques for carpet pattern matching.
Three of BNP Media’s very own, Al Stewart, John Moore and Howard Olansky, will also serve as speakers during the conference. Stewart will host a class on software investment, Moore on the common causes of post-installation failures and Olansky on controlling overhead costs.
