Portsmouth, N.H.-based installation products maker Drytek Flooring Solutions said it will adopt the INSTALL curriculum for professional floor covering installers to better educate its members on the evolving techniques for applying self-leveling products. As an endorser of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters’ INSTALL curriculum, the company will have access to training and materials both in the field and at INSTALL raining centers throughout the United States and Canada.
Terry Cotton, Drytek president, said
the move reflects the need in the industry for better training on new
technologies and techniques. “INSTALL programs enable contractors and flooring
distributors to stay current with the latest products and solutions around the
country,” he said. “These programs are ideal for us.”
The INSTALL curriculum is developed by the Carpenters
International Training Fund with help from installation and education experts
throughout the industry. More than 40 companies endorse INSTALL, including
Armstrong, USG, Johnsonite and Taylor Adhesives. For more information, visitwww.installfloors.org.
