Take Time to Learn
January 11, 2008
It starts with “Lessons from the Past to Guide Your Future.” As Mary Todd Lincoln, America’s 16th First Lady, steps onto the stage, she will enthrall you with lessons and mistakes from her own life, captivate your attention, and warm your heart during the keynote presentation.
For those in the flooring industry, traveling to Savannah, GA to attend FCICA’s 26th Annual Convention will find that they definitely will need to take time to attend this exceptional event. Sessions from industry leaders will include Marty Anderson of National Carpet Equipment presenting “Floor Preparation from A to Z” and Sim Crisler of LGM Associates presenting “Patterned Carpet – Start with the End in Mind.” Bob Peoples with the Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE) will discuss their mission to “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” post-consumer carpet.
Tile is a new focus for FCICA, and during the convention attendees will be able to choose a session on how to get into the tile business, and if they are already involved in the tile industry, a more advanced course dealing with the top ten tile failures.
Of course, no convention is complete without knowing what’s new with our vendor products, and FCICA is no exception. During the table top trade show on Tuesday, March 11th, attendees will learn about the latest products or tools out in the marketplace. Some of the vendors will even offer great incentives for contractors to try their products. Raffles and a silent auction also add to the fun.
A new program for our members this year is a legal telephone consultation with FCICA’s new general counsel, Sloan Bailey of Flynn/Williams LLP. Join Sloan for our contractor legal session, always a sell out.
Tours, networking and even a haunted pub crawl all await you in Savannah at FCICA’s Annual Convention March 9-12, 2008; so Take the Time to Learn and join us. For more information visit FCICA’s website at www.fcica.com or call the office at 248-661-5015
