Jim Olson


The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA), the largest tile contractors association in the world, has appointed Jim Olson as the new assistant executive director. In his new role, Jim will be responsible for growing the association’s membership and training & education programs.

Jim brings nearly three decades of sales and management experience working within the tile distribution sector.  During those years, he worked out of the Minneapolis/St.Paul area, covering Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North and South Dakota. He has extensive experience in working with contracting companies, floor-covering dealers, builders, general contractors, architects and designers.  He plans to use this experience to develop key programs in all major markets within the 12 NTCA-designated geographic regions, and will work with NTCA regional directors, sectional directors, board and executive officers, and members to ensure the association’s continued growth and development.  

“I’ve been in this industry for over 29 years in sales to the installer, retailer and distributor,” declared Jim.

“I feel that I finally have a chance to give back to the tile industry by working with the NTCA. This is a great way for me to round-off my career… a real feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment. I’ve gone full circle in this industry.”

“Our executive committee has authorized this investment, despite the challenging economic times we are facing,” stated Bart Bettiga, executive director of the NTCA.  “Actually, I cannot think of a better time to make an investment for our future.”
