The International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association (CFI) will hold a laminate and wood hands-on training class Oct. 5-6 in Little Rock, Ark.

The class will include classroom and hands-on training on pre-finished hardwoods, including:

  

Factory finishes, nail-down, glue-down and floating installations, as well as staples/cleats

Job site evaluation (estimating, preparation, balancing floors, transitions)

Grades (on, above, below), subfloors

Effects of moisture, moisture testing, acclimation

Properties and characteristics

Radiant heating systems

Cost for the class is $485, and includes opportunities for CFI Laminate/Wood Certification, Armstrong Certification, NALFA Certification and NWFA Certification.
