CCA Global Partners, together with industry friends and
flooring suppliers, will join forces Sept. 24 for the sixth annual Alan
Greenberg Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Floor Covering Industry
Foundation (FCIF). The long standing tradition will continue in a new location,
Barnsley Gardens,
located 60 miles north of Atlanta, Georgia, in the foot hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
“In the economic climate we face today, it is more
important than ever to support organizations like the FCIF that assist those
who have fallen on hard times,” said Howard Brodsky, chairman and co-ceo of CCA
Global Partners and co-chair of the tournament. “We are pleased to support this
worthwhile organization which provides a lifeline for those in the flooring
industry who have nowhere else to turn in times of need.”
“It is an honor to be hosting the Alan Greenberg
Charity Tournament again this year,” states Rick Bennet, co-ceo of CCA Global
Partners. “This tournament is a wonderful opportunity to join with our friends
and colleagues in supporting the FCIF.”
Since the first tournament in 2003, the event has
raised more than $750,000 for the FCIF. Funds raised have helped many in the
floor covering industry in their time of hardship.
“The Alan Greenberg Charity Golf Tournament is not
only one of the major sources of income annually for the FCIF, it has the
additional benefit of significantly raising the awareness of the foundation’s
charitable efforts on behalf of those in the floor covering industry facing
catastrophic illness and financial hardship,” said D. Christopher Davis,
president/ceo of the World Floor Covering Association, and President of FCIF.
“The tournament provides a forum for industry partners to interact in a fun
atmosphere while performing a very noble effort. It’s something that Alan
Greenberg, as a major supporter of FCIF would be proud to see continue in his
name.”
