FCICA, the Flooring Contractors Association, has added a new
committee, the Technology Committee. The committee will be responsible for
researching and evaluating the emerging technology and productivity tools that
provide value to the membership, as well as planning for the increasingly
important role of technology in the future.
The
committee is chaired by Gerry Swift of Potomac Floor Covering, who is also
FCICA’s current secretary/treasurer. Pam Bowe of Bowe Company, FCICA’s website
partner and new member, also sits on this committee.
“The
Technology Committee has been tasked with determining the base line technology
interests of our members, will help in developing and deploying on-line surveys
and will improve our communication to our members through the FCICA website,”
said Kim Oderkirk, FCICA’s executive vice president. “The Technology Committee
will research new directions in technology and review products regularly, with
an eye on how it will impact the industry and the benefits of implementation.
This is a great addition to the association and to its future.”
