Bona US, the North American subsidiary of Bona AB in Sweden, has appointed Erik Turner as the new national account manager for the retail sales department. Turner will be responsible for managing and engaging strategic retail accounts across the country. He will also develop and grow new and existing retail accounts as well as maintain and increase volume levels within existing accounts, the company says.
Turner most recently worked for six years with Sherwin Williams as the Western sales service manager on the Sherwin Williams Lowe’s account where he was responsible for the sales service of Minwax, Thompson’s and Formby’s products. Accountable for 288 locations and annual sales, he worked with Lowe’s District Managers to resolve issues and identify sales opportunities. He also developed and coordinated district-wide product knowledge training for Lowe’s associates, conducted market research and maintained compliance of all environmental regulations as they applied.
Bona US has also promoted Matt Casey as the new territory manager in the Chicago region. Casey will play a vital role in developing and maintaining contractor partnerships and increasing new business in the professional arena. Working closely with industry professionals and key departments at Bona, Casey will be responsible for training and educating contractors and distributors, performing jobsite demonstrations and executing sales, the company says.
Casey started his career with Bona four years ago as an account services representative, maintaining distributor accounts as the inside contact coast to coast. In 2007, he moved into the Technical and Training Department where he facilitated classroom and hands-on training and demonstrations, tech support for contractors, distributors and homeowners, as well as product testing and development.
