Floor have promoted Chris Williams to branch manager. Williams will head the
companies’ Chesapeake, Va., location and will be responsible for
the day-to-day management of the branch, as well as directing sales, delivering
profit, managing staff, and running the showroom floor.
“Chris has
been with us for several years and has a very good knowledge of the business,”
said company vp, David Williams. “He has great leadership skills and possesses
the work ethic and positive attitude that will allow us to take our Virginia branch to the
next level.”
Williams
has been with the company full-time for three years in the position of sales
representative/assistant manager, but started working in the warehouse 10 years
ago during the summer. He graduated from East
Carolina University
with a BSBA in Business and has completed training with the National Wood
Flooring Association (NWFA), Bona
Sand & Finish School, Clarke Training, and Lenmar Sand
& Finish Training. Williams noted he is looking forward to the challenges
that await him in his new position and the contributions that he can make to
the team and company.
“Being
with the company for 10 years and involved with so many aspects of the daily
operations will serve as a great foundation for my role as manager,” said
Williams. “I’m looking forward to helping Horizon Forest Products and Long
Floor continue to increase our presence in the Virginia market and working with our team
members to help each of them achieve professional success.”
