Bona is a family owned company founded in 1919. Our long term commitment to innovation is based on a sustainable philosophy that considers the hardwood floor, users of our products, and the indoor and outdoor environment. We continually strive to launch effective products with less environmental impact, such as using recyclable materials in our production and developing non-toxic formulas to limit the harmful effects of downstream pollution.

Specifically, Bona innovations of dust containment and waterborne products have significantly reduced the health and environmental hazards of hardwood floor care. We were the first manufacturer in the industry to offer a complete hardwood floor finishing and floor care system, GREENGUARD certified for indoor air quality. The GREENGUARD certification assures professionals and consumers unsurpassed durability, beauty, and environmental responsibility for hardwood floors.

Waterborne Finishes

Bona waterborne finishes have no harmful fumes and low VOC’s so they are healthier for your family, pets, and the environment. In addition, there is no need to vacate your home during the finishing process due to fast dry times and easy water clean-up. This Swedish waterborne technology highlights the true beauty and elegance of the wood and provides the ultimate in durability.

Dust Containment

The innovative concept of the trailer-mounted Bona Atomic Dust Containment System means having a more powerful system, providing evacuation of the airborne dust that is generated from the entire sanding process while the contractor is in your home. Virtually eliminating a dust-storm in your home, lingering dust in your air-ducts, and a clean-up headache that feels like it will never end.

Floor Care

Bona waterborne floor cleaners are non-toxic and specially designed to be safe for floors, families, and the environment. In addition, Bona microfiber cleaning pads are machine washable up to 300 times, saving you money and protecting the environment. GREENGUARD certified for indoor air quality and the more stringent Children and Schools Program.
