Dan Westcott, a business representative from the North Central States Regional Council, Local 804, in Wisconsin is the newest member of the International Standards and Training Alliance (INSTALL) Labor-Management Committee. United Brotherhood of Carpenters General President Douglas McCarron recently made the appointment, placing Westcott as a labor member of the group.
Westcott is a veteran installer and flooring instructor who has established himself as an active contributor to the flooring industry. He regularly assists in the development of the Carpenters International Training Fund’s (CITF) flooring installation curriculum, and teaches a class on behalf of the CITF at the organization’s Las Vegas Training Center. He represents INSTALL at ANSI Consensus Committee meetings, and has authored guest columns on behalf of INSTALL in trade publications. Dan has also been a featured presenter and planning committee member for the annual Surfaces Expo.
“We are fortunate to have such an accomplished professional join the committee,” said John McGrath, director of INSTALL. “Dan offers excellent insight that will help the committee continue to effectively steer INSTALL operations.”
