Roppe Corporation, a leading manufacturer of rubber and vinyl commercial flooring products, recently announced Salesmaster Associates as the recipient of their prestigious 2010 Distributor of the Year award.

Salesmaster Flooring Solutions was founded in 1961 by Bert Kurtz as a small counter operation in East Meadow, NY. Since then, the company has undergone a consistent, steady growth and now has two supercenter wholesale distribution facilities located in Deer Park, NY and Chicopee, MA serving all of New England, New Jersey; and Eastern New York State from Albany to Long Island.

Salesmaster is currently run by Bert’s son Steve Kurtz (president), Ray Izatt (vice president, sales), MarkWatkins (vice president, MIS), and Tony Giannattassio (vice president, finance). Along with 50+ employees, they have made a strong commitment to excellent service, strong customer relationships, and loyal vendor partnerships. Salesmaster has 13 sales representatives on the road, including six architecture and design specialists and one technical specialist. Ongoing formal training programs for both customer service and sales staffs are an important element in defining their difference versus their competition, Roppe said. These strengths have resulted in Salesmaster becoming one of the top flooring and installation supplies distributors in the country.
