The Armstrong Installation School will hold its next three-day residential vinyl installation training class Feb. 14-16 at the company’s training facility in Lancaster, Pa. All 3-day classes begin on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.Registration is first-come, first-served.

The Armstrong Installation School has been training resilient and hardwood flooring installers for more than 80 years. The school is recognized for the quality of its instruction, its knowledgeable teaching staff and continued leadership in the development of new installation methods and procedures. All courses are instructed by a trained Armstrong Installation Specialist.

In addition, Armstrong offers certification testing for the experienced installer. The test includes an open-book written test and hands-on test. To be certified in the Armstrong Certified Installer Program (ACIP), an installer must pass each portion with an 80% or better. All certification testing is instructed by a trained Armstrong Installation Specialist.

You are not required to bring tools; however, you may wish to bring your own knee pads. You will receive a tool kit during your course, and it will be your property upon completion. The vinyl tool kit contains the following items: S-30 Dividers, S-77 Hand Roller, S-83 Recess Scribing Tool, S-84 18” Scribing Bar, S-92 Armstrong Knife, S-94 Angled Knife, Utility Knife, Tool Holster, 6’ Folding Rule, Sharpening Stone, Screwdriver, S-892 Replaceable Blade Trowel.

The course fee for basic training is $250 per student, if notification of cancellation is given one week prior to the start of the scheduled course, $175 will be refunded. The $75 registration fee is nonrefundable. If registration is made for more than one class, each additional class will be charged $125. Example: If you register for two classes, the total would be $375.

If you are interested in attending a basic training class, complete the registration form and return to the address below with a check or money order for $250 payable to Armstrong World Industries, Inc. If registering by phone, a check should be received by Armstrong within 10 days to hold your reservation. If payment is not received in 10 days, the reservation will be relinquished and the registration put on a waiting list.
