The National Association of Home Builders' (NAHB) Commercial Builders Council has announced the winners of its 2012 Awards of Excellence.

The awards recognize achievements in design, market appeal, sustainability and overall success of newly-built and renovated commercial projects ranging in size from less than 5,000 to more than 100,000 square feet.

“This year's entries offered us a wide range of project types to choose from, and we were very pleased with the quality of the work presented by our commercial builders,” said Gene Graf III, 2011 chair of the Commercial Builders Council, which sponsors the awards each year.

Entries are submitted in eight categories: green commercial, industrial, institutional/medical, mixed use commercial/residential, recreational and other commercial. This year, seven winners were selected by a panel of industry peers for achieving innovative solutions to project challenges, energy efficiency and design.
