The Flooring Inspectors Educational Guild will offer a wood flooring inspection class at the National Wood Flooring Association’s headquarters in Chesterfield, Mo. May 31-June 3, 2012.
This comprehensive four-day course will be taught by professors from the North Carolina State University’s Wood Extension Department, who have many years of experience working with saw mills, kiln drying operations, engineered wood manufacturing and testing wood flooring in the Hodges Wood Laboratory.
The course will teach basic wood anatomy so that inspectors can explain wood-related issues to their clients. That knowledge is then applied through hands-on inspections of sold and engineered wood products.
Cost for the course is $495. To register, mail a check payable to: Flooring Inspectors Educational Guide, P.O. Box 1631, Laurens, SC 29360.
