Anderson announces sales division restructure
Anderson Hardwood Floors, a flooring manufacturer and subsidiary of Shaw Industries Group, Inc., announced today a reorganization of their sales division.
“This represents an exciting time of growth and change at Anderson Hardwood as we strive for excellence across our organization,” said Scott Sandlin, vice president of hard surfaces. “Our internal restructuring enables Anderson to stay at the forefront of ever-evolving consumer trends that inspire the world’s most innovative hardwood floors.”
Rick Knowles, vice president sales of national accounts, will become the customer face of Anderson Hardwood as he drives product and provides sales support in this leadership role. Previously the vice president of sales of direct and distributor for hard surfaces, Knowles has been with Shaw since 2005 and will now report to Jeff Sills, Anderson Hardwood Floors’ executive vice president. With more than 14 years of experience in distribution, Knowles’ industry expertise will serve to continue the high quality and prestige of the Anderson brand.
Lee Safrit, former Anderson category manager, will now serve as Anderson’s regional manager in the Central United States. Safrit has been with Anderson for over 14 years and brings with him a wealth of knowledge, including product, industry, company, and distribution experience. Utilizing this skill set, he will remain involved in overall corporate sales and marketing efforts as well.
Kevin Thompson, Shaw’s current hardwood and laminate product manager, will lead product management for the Anderson brand with the goal of driving new and innovative hardwood floor offerings with the support of Anderson and Shaw Floors’ research and development teams.
To further align sales and marketing strategies, Anderson Director of Marketing, Mollie Surratt, will also report to Rick Knowles.
