Penetron Specialty Products (PSP) welcomed industry professionals and customers to its manufacturing facility in Allentown, Pa., for its bi-annual Research Council meeting.
“Our Research Council events are a regular effort by our sales and tech support people to talk about new products that we’re working on—or have released, and learn more about where the market is going,” said Peter Trainor, vice president of sales at PSP. "This year, over 30 customers and industry professionals joined us for a day and a half of presentations and collaboration.”
Part of the Penetron Group of global companies, PSP is an innovator in surface preparation and concrete restoration products, and according to the company, the Research Council event is a key aspect of these efforts.
The Research Council is a 1 ½-day program that includes the following highlights:
•Evaluating the performance of existing products
•Reviewing current industry standards and future modifications
•Outlining product improvements and enhanced installation methods
•Brainstorming how to optimize project results
Product demonstrations and hands-on evaluation of new products and materials were done by the PSP sales and technical support team, and attendees tested the performance of current products to see what features and benefits could best fill project needs. The tests and evaluations allowed Research Council attendees to participate in a product development phase that ensures consistent product performance and results, according to the company.
“At PSP, we understand R&D to also mean 'reaching out and discussing.' We exchanged valuable input and helped strengthen our partnerships. We believe the success of PSP depends on close relationships between manufacturing and application," added Trainor.
