The Flooring Contractors Association (FCICA) will feature four educational sessions at its Mid-Year Meeting: Partnering for the Future, taking place in New Castle, Del., Oct. 7 through 9.
Sessions will include:
Moving Through Four Generations for the 1st Time Ever: Presented by Ulli Munroe of Munroe Consulting, the session will focus on the new multi-generational workforce. Attendees will gain a better understanding of each generation and their unique learning and working style and how to maximize their strengths for business.
What is Thin Porcelain Tile?: Presented by Scott Carothers of Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF). Carothers will review the evolution of tile ending with thin porcelain tile. He will discuss the properties and uses of thin porcelain tile, as well as, proper substrate preparation and installation.
Commercial Application of Bamboo: Presented by Jon Namba of Namba Services, and editorial director of Floor Covering Installer. In this session, Namba will guide attendees through the world of bamboo and its potential in the commercial floorcovering market.
Initial Floor Maintenance: Presented by Stanley Hulin of League of Hard Flooring Professionals. “It doesn’t matter whether it is carpet, stone, concrete, ceramic, wood, resilient or specialty; all flooring, regardless of category or classification, will require initial maintenance to be performed after installation," he said.
