ISSA has received a Power of A Silver Award from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
ISSA won the award for its Value of Clean program. A multi-media toolkit, the Value of Clean helps ISSA members change the conversation from cleaning as a cost to what it really is—an investment in better health, a better environment, and a better bottom line, according to the association.
“The widespread reach of our resources means manufacturers and distributors around the globe can offer more green products, educate their customers about the power of clean, and work together to make the world a better, safer place,” said John Barrett, ISSA's executive director. “The Value of Clean has a very wide positive impact on our members and their customers and vendors as well as on the occupants of the facilities serviced."
ASAE’s Power of A awards recognize the valuable contributions associations make at the local and national as well as global level. The Power of A awards reward outstanding accomplishments of associations and industry professionals for their efforts to enrich lives, create a competitive workforce, prepare society for the future, drive innovation and make a better world.
“Congratulations to ISSA for helping to make the world a better place,” said Hugh “Mac” Cannon, executive director of ACEC of Metropolitan Washington, and chair of the Power of A awards judging committee. “ISSA's story exemplifies how associations make a difference every day– not just to the industry or profession they represent, but also to society at large.”
