UFloor Systems' Wolff Tools division is supporting flood relief efforts in Louisiana and Southwest Mississippi by donating $100 for each machine sold through October to the Habitat for Humanity Disaster Response Fund of Greater Baton Rouge.
Dan Gill, Wolff brand manager, said, “This is just a small way that we can directly support our neighbors in these devastated areas. The response already from our distributors in these areas has been overwhelming and we’re also grateful for all of the volunteers at Habitat for Humanity and the other relief agencies in the area that are the true heroes in this effort to help these people recover from this disaster.”
UFloor also sent technical support personnel to the area due to the tremendous need. Habitat for Humanity stated that the widespread flooding last month damaged more than142,000 homes in South Louisiana, with the majority not protected by flood insurance.
“We have teams of volunteers gutting homes every day, and are processing more than 1,000 applications for assistance,” the organization stated on their website. “Funds donated to the flood relief efforts will go directly toward purchasing materials necessary to gut and treat flood affected homes.”
