The North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) has released its Profit Analysis Report (PAR), a robust financial and operational benchmarking report for NAFCD distributor members.

The report provides detailed financial results, compiled by a third party administrator, drawn from income statements, balance sheets and operating data supplied by participating distribution firms in the floor covering channel—providing a comprehensive but straightforward analysis and comparison of profitability among distribution firms.

“This exclusive data comes directly from independent, privately owned distributors and thus cannot be found elsewhere,” said Kevin Gammonley, NAFCD's executive vice president. “PAR provides flooring distributors with a valuable benchmarking tool to compare themselves to distributors of like size as well as the overall distributor community while also providing them with specific ways to enhance their productivity and profitability.”

New this year, the survey featured revised and refined product categories covering sub product categories of flooring and new Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) such as sample and display expense; freight recovery; online sales and electronic data interchange between trading partners (fcB2B) were added.
