St. Louis, Mo. -- The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) announced Osiel Betancourt, Insight Flooring Technologies, as the winner of the Plank Tank contest, receiving a $15,000 customized package of NWFA marketing and education products and services.
The winning idea was QuoteHero, an app that allows contractors and estimators to measure the square footage of rooms, estimate jobs, and close sales on the spot. The app was created by a flooring professional for flooring professionals. It’s also a white label application that can be customized for any flooring business with logos, line items, and prices. The simple and user- friendly interface makes it easy for flooring contractors and estimators to generate an estimate. QuoteHero follows the installer’s natural workflow, cutting out the need for manual calculations or double-entry.
NWFA hosted the Plank Tank contest to encourage members to submit their industry-related business ideas. The final three contestants pitched their idea during the “Opening Splash” general session during NWFA’s Wood Flooring Expo. Attendees voted through the NWFA Expo Mobile App and the winner was announced during the “Final Dive” closing session.
