Clear Seas Research has published its 2018 Flooring Installation Products CLEAReport. The online survey, which polled subscribers of Floor Covering Installer, Floor Trends magazines, and members of Clear Seas’ myCLEARopinion panel, was conducted from April 20 to May 6. As part of the survey, 417 respondents shared the types of installation products they used last year, their main purchase channels for these products and their primary brands across the hardwood, vinyl/resilient/LVT and carpet installation segments.
Industry overview: Respondents reported that most of their flooring projects are based in the residential segment and are predominantly replacement/remodeling versus new construction. Flooring and installation material distributors are the most-used purchase channel (46%), followed by home improvement centers (29%).
