The Natural Fiber Installer Certification (NFIC) announces plans to open the Training and Certification Center this fall in Jasper, Georgia. NFIC is working in conjunction with the International Certified Flooring Installers (CFI), National Association of Floor Covering Technicians (NAFCT) and the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) at the new training center.
P.J. Arthur, CEO and founder, NFIC, started in this trade in 1964, and with his knowledge and expertise, has evolved NFIC. NFIC certifies and trains installers, sales professionals and inspectors. Woven and tufted wool carpet (Axminster, Wilton and velvet) are the products that NFIC offered certifications for in the beginning, but it later added seagrass, sisal, flatweave, hand-tufted and hand woven products to its roster. NFIC is the only organization in North America that trains and certifies on these products.
