The Certified Flooring Installers (CFI) and the Floor Covering Installation Contractors Association (FCICA) have teamed up to co-host a Convention & Expo, bringing flooring installation professionals and the commercial contractor industry together.

The convention, open to all floorcovering professionals, including installation professionals, commercial flooring contractors, distributors, manufacturers, and consultants, will take place at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida, September 20-22, 2023.

The two organizations have come together to combine their separate fall conventions into a singular event. CFI traditionally holds its annual convention and expo in August every year. The FCICA holds two meetings each year, a convention in the spring and a mid-year meeting in the fall. This collaboration will bring together the "best of both worlds" from CFI and FCICA.

The three-day event will feature the industry-leading content you expect from CFI and FCICA: timely general sessions, invigorating speakers, in-depth breakout sessions and training, product demonstrations, an exhibit hall, and plenty of networking opportunities with friends and colleagues from across the floorcovering installation and commercial flooring industry. In addition to educational seminars and workshops, there will be a golf tournament at the Shingle Creek Golf Club.

“We’ve been working closely together for many years, advocating for the same issues and attending each other’s conferences,” said John McHale, Director of Operations of CFI. “Through our combined efforts, we can offer a unique convention experience that will bring tremendous value and opportunity to our members and exhibitors. As a result, they can explore additional products, services, trends, and opportunities to grow their businesses and maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.”

“We are excited to partner with CFI to hold joint conventions in September 2023,” said FCICA Executive Director CJ Church. “FCICA is committed to advancing the success of the flooring industry. We support the businesses and organizations within the industry, which in turn helps our members and others in this community.”

She added, “Like FCICA, CFI shares the same philosophy. Together, our two organizations will provide expanded value to our members and the industry as a whole.”

Full details on registration, a call for topics and sessions and information on sponsorships and exhibit space will be shared in the coming months.
