Avalon Flooring in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, hosted an International Certified Flooring Installers (CFI) resilient/LVP certification, running March 2 and 3. Mannington Mills and Congoleum donated the product used in the training.
The certification covered resilient and LVP with a focus on floor preparation. With 18 flooring installers and six field managers, the training was at max capacity.

In addition to donating product, Congoleum's Dan Gallagher, installation manager, was on site to assist with the training. Rod Von Busch, vice president of operations, C.D.I. Floors, tuned in virtually to lead a Q&A focused on communication concerning logistics on the commercial job site.
"It went great," said Thompson. "Everyone worked hard and came wanting to learn. I want to give a big shoutout to Avalon Flooring for hosting the training, to Congoleum for coming and supplying product and to Mannington for supplying product."
